Nuits de Fourvière in Lyon
Throughout June and July, Lyon hosts the festival, Les Nuits de Fourvière. This festival takes place in a Roman theatre and features theatre performances and music. It’s a unique cultural experience in the beautiful city of Lyon.
Paris Nuit Blanche
On June 1st, Paris hosts Nuit Blanche, an all-night arts festival in Paris where museums, galleries, and public spaces stay open late. You can enjoy illuminated public art, and concerts, and even take advantage of all-night public transit.

Le Mans Auto Race
Le Mans Auto Race is a car race held in the Loire Valley. This year, it will be celebrated from June 12-16. Drivers will compete for a full 24 hours, covering the greatest distance on a challenging circuit near Le Mans. It’s an endurance test for both cars and drivers, and it attracts motorsports enthusiasts from around the world.
Chorégies d’Orange
Celebrated from June 14 – July 22, Les Chorégies d’Orange is a festival held in a Roman theatre which features captivating performances. If you plan to be near Orange, it’s worth attending.

La Fête de la Musique
June 21 – The festival of music or music day is a celebration of the one language people around the world have in common – music. Celebrated around the summer solstice for over forty years, the festival is commemorated across France and allows each department or region to showcase an array of musical heritage. For example, in the Charente, there is an initiative called “Concert dans mon Jardin” (concert in my garden), where members of the public can offer to host a concert in their garden which can be visited by neighbours, friends and family. Cognac relevages
Every year in June, winemakers lift the cognac vines which can grow at an astonishing pace of 10cm per day! This act is known as “revelages”. The act ensures the vines of the cognac are lifted by wire and not trailing on the ground, this supports their daily growth and preps the vines ready for their boxy summer haircut. This makes for a great time to visit the cognac distilleries and enjoy cognac tasting.
