The books that will inspire you to live abroad!

From My Family and Other Animals, to A Year in Provence and Under The Tuscan Sun, many of us have been inspired to move abroad by wonderful words. So take a dip into our reading list of inspirational books. Why not push one or two towards a significant other who’s proving reluctant to follow your own dreams of life in the sun too!

Moving to Cyprus as a family

Many of us dream of moving to a country where our kids can get away from their computer screens and play outside all year. An island where family is still at the heart of society, where violent crime is a fraction of the UK’s rate and where the food is fresb and the cost of living low. In short, Cyprus. If you want to raise your family here, read a guide from someone who did it.

How to find your Italian interior design style

Italian style can be summed up as understated timeless luxury. Italians make glamour look effortless. They can put a crisp white shirt and jacket with a pair of brand name jeans, and look like a movie star. Whether making clothes or furniture you will find simple stylish lines, quality materials and great workmanship. Italian designers, artists, craftspeople and furniture makers have a passion for what they do.

My top places and events in Italy

We purchased our property in Apulia, Italy, 11 years ago this month, and have lived here permanently ever since. Our Italian home, that we lovingly renovated ourselves, is our most favourite place to be. Sitting in our large walled courtyard and surrounded by 8 acres of land, it is our haven away from the craziness going on in the world. History and culture are a big thing here in Italy, so when I was asked what my favourite places and events are, I quickly realised that these elements are actually a big part of what makes Italy my favourite country.

A new start: Moving to Melbourne

When a primary school teacher and a newly qualified doctor made the move to Melbourne from Brighton, England, they weren’t entirely sure what to expect. Rosie Pariser tells us that the city hasn’t disappointed – they’re already coffee snobs and loving the better work-life balance!
